Description
This is an important accessory in a classic Japanese tea ceremony. This small porcelain utensil called "chasentate" is used to store the bamboo whisk when not in use.
The bamboo whisk has about 80 individual bristles and is the perfect tool needed to whisk matcha tea for a fine creamy froth. The delicate bristles must be handled very carefully so that they do not get misshapen. Place the whisk on this holder to extend the life of the matcha whisk and allow its bristles to dry quickly and evenly after washing.
