Davert Demeter Long Grain Brown Rice, Fairtrade

Long grain rice has little taste of its own and remains fluffy and grainy when cooked. It can therefore be used in many ways - whether in risi bisi, in Asian dishes or as an accompaniment to vegetables and patties.

Note: This product is part of the "Khaddar" fair trade project. Long grain rice is grown in a biodynamic way in the Himalayan foothills. With contractually fixed minimum prices, Indian farmers with smallholdings live and work in better conditions. Davert has been in contact with this Fair Trade-certified rice cooperative since 2001.

Preparation: As a side dish for two people, boil 125 g long grain rice in 250 ml water (lightly salted) and then simmer for 35 minutes.

Store in a cool and dry place. This product complies with Demeter guidelines for the highest organic quality and supports fair trade projects.
