Description
White pepper is obtained from fully ripened red berries and lends full-bodied, intense and fruity-spicy notes to a variety of dishes. After harvesting, the peppercorns are placed in spring water for a few days so that the red peel can be easily rubbed off later. The white peppercorns are then subjected to a short steam treatment and dried. White pepper, with its intense aroma, is one of the hottest types of pepper in the world.
