The Carolina Reaper has been entered as the hottest chilli in the world in the Guinness Book of Records since 2013. And rightly so. The name Reaper says it all!
This chilli adds an eye-watering fiery heat to sauces, stews, stews and more along with sweet, fruity, slightly bitter notes and aromas of citrus, cherries and chocolate. They ripen in about 100 days. The round, fully ripe fruits are intensely red and have a pointed tail at the bottom that resembles the stinger of a scorpion. Add in small amounts only! Clocking in at 2 million units on the Scoville scale, eating this chilli is like experiencing a lava explosion in the mouth!
