Description
Like so many of Italy's famous culinary delicacies, polenta started out as "cucina povera" or poor man's food and was the staple diet of northern Italy's peasants for a long time. In recent years though polenta has gained prestige and fame thanks to creative top chefs. Brezzo polenta is made from the best Italian corn that is stone ground to obtain a polenta with a rustic character and an incomparable flavour. It is absolutely delicious and versatile and lends itself to a thousand recipes.
Tip: Polenta is very creamy and a delicious side dish for fish, poultry, pork or vegetables. Add some sliced parmesan over the steaming polenta and enjoy!
