Description
Discover oats in their most original form! Naked oats owe their name to the fact that their husks loosely surround the grain and fall off during threshing. This preserves the valuable whole grain without the need for dehulling.
With its mild, nutty aroma, it is the star of every breakfast bowl, whether freshly rolled into flakes or coarsely ground in porridge. But it can do even more: when cooked, it serves as a firm-to-the-bite base for savoury patties, nutritious casseroles, or colourful grain salads.
Preparation:
- Bring 125 g of naked oats to the boil in double the amount of lightly salted water.
- Simmer for 25–35 minutes with the lid closed over low heat.
