Gölles Manufaktur Ron Johan Rum (700 ml)

Rum is a word that invites daydreaming:
white beaches, palm trees, turquoise seas and pirates.
One of those pirates has now found his way to Austria and appears on a rum bottle by David Gölles.

Only a handful of Austrian producers venture into the internationally popular world of rum production.

David Gölles of the Gölles Manufaktur now produces the first Styrian rum.
The bottle features the pirate Black Beard alongside Austrian Archduke Johann.
It is, in a way, a tribute to the Archduke, who made an important contribution to Austria's culinary heritage.

The distiller receives the organic molasses for his product once a year from the Caribbean, South America and Central America; otherwise, nothing is bought in. Fermentation and distillation both take place in-house.

To develop the rum's colour and character, David finishes it in casks previously used for port, sherry, tequila, mezcal and Japanese rice or barley spirits.
His "Old Plum Rum" gains its special colour and flavour from an old plum cask from the distillery's own fine-brandy production.
