Salt harvesting has a long tradition on the French Guérande peninsula - the harvest of the salt dates back to the Iron Age. Even today, the salt is traditionally harvested with wooden shovels to avoid contamination. It is also not bleached, which means that Sel gris retains its eponymous grey colour. The unrefined salt is rich in minerals and is coveted by gourmets worldwide.
Seasoned with dried summer truffles from Langhe, the salt is great with:

- Pasta dishes
- Fish and meat dishes
- Salads, potatoes, vegetables

When you open the jar, it smells divinely of truffles, but on food, the truffle taste is too delicate, I would have preferred a stronger taste, not just a strong smell of truffles.
