Sodium chloride

Salt is used in different shapes and sizes whether it is ground fine, left coarse or served in flakes. The main distinction between salts are sea salt, saline salt and rock salt. Almost all dishes call for salt, including sweet ones!

Salt occurs worldwide and is mined in many areas.
